Remark: The apartment building looks old & ran down due to long time not repaint. Nevertheless most of the owner did offer a decent unit. If you're looking for budget vacation, here is definitely one of your choice.

Day 3 [17/4/2013] - Pulau Payar Snorkeling > Teo Seafood Restaurant

Pulau Payar Snorkeling Trip
I get my snorkeling package from Samavest Tour & Travel too because I'm the person that don't like hassle. Hmmm....We are so "Lucky" that met rainy day on our snorkeling day..but no choice we had already make payment..Thanks god still let me enjoy 1 hours of sunny snorkeling out of 5 hours~Although it's rain but we still able to swim with fishes and small sharks.

Price- RM90/pax Lunch included. You also can get package from cenang beach area which i heard the lowest is RM85/pax but the highest can goes to RM120/pax.

The snorkeling took us almost 8 hours from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM. After snorkeling we went back apartment to have some rest then is the time for dinner already. Yeahhh~

We waited our food for almost half an hour, there are many customers but only one cook..although, it taste better than Wonderland Seafood Store and ideal for price. 

Langkawi -兰卡威 Day 2

Day 2 [16/4/2013] - Island Hopping > Tomato Nasi Kandar > DUTY FREE Shopping >Artisan Pizza 

Island Hopping

Island hopping is a recommended activity at Langkawi, I have done booking before going to Langkawi by contact Mr.Harun. We visited 2 islands which is Pulau Dayang and Pulau Beras Basah and also eagle feeding during island hopping. 

Price- RM20/pax with 6 person. This is the cheapest price I saw and I directly confirm with Mr.Harun when he gave me the offer. You can also get island hopping tour along cenang beach area. There are a lot of booth selling tour package with market price RM25/pax but some may cost up to RM40/pax.

Alternative- You also can rent a boat for island hopping. As we have only 6 person, a boat is too much for us and costly. A boat can fit in 14 person. Samavest offer RM230/boat, i not sure how much Mr.Harun charges.

Price- Cant remember one by one but overall we ate total of RM51 for these. Their Nasi Kandar is expensive, other is in normal range. Their cheese naan is different from KL's. Worth to try. 

Duty Free Shopping

Beside Underwater World, there are 3 big duty free shop The Zon, Coco Valley and Warisan. You can shop for alcohol, chocolate and cigarette. First, we plan to go for Underwater World but look like nothing special so we cancel it. You can get Underwater World ticket @ RM28 with MyCard.

Artisan Pizza - Pantai Cenang

It is our favorite restaurant! Artisan pizza is like a italian + western restaurant which sell pizza, pasta and western food. Their outlet at Pantai Cenang is small and not much of space, you have to eat fast if they have a lot of customers.

Langkawi - 兰卡威 Day 1

Day 1 [15/4/2013] - Arrived LGK Airport > Century Suria Apartment > Wonderland Seafood Store > Jing Yuan Fa Sdn Bhd > Teow Soon Huat Duty Free

Flight
We bought our flight ticket a year earlier in 2012 with AirAsia when they offering the RM0 deals. Since that all of us never been to Langkawi or has been there long year ago, so we decided to go Langkawi on our semester break. Our flight depart from Kuala Lumpur at the noon on 3:05 PM.  As you know domestic travel and Langkawi is not far apart, our flight reach LGK airport at 4:15 PM. I think flight is the most convenient way and cheap if you can get promotion ticket from AirAsia or Firefly. My friends used 12 Hours traveled by train and boat to Langkawi and the fees is almost the same. 

Price- Two way flight ticket include 20KG luggage on return flight, credit card processing fee and insurance was RM78/Pax .

Transport
Since I am the person that worry too much, I have rented our car before i reached Langkawi. But at the moment I stepped into Langkawi Airport,  i know that I really worried too much because there are bunch of peoples standing there to "Welcome" us and offer us transportation on the spot. You can negotiate with them to get your reasonable price of your transport. I rented an Avanza from Samavest Tour & Travel Sdn Bhd, threre are many selection of cars with different price.. i think their price is average and was recommend by my relation so I decided to rent car from them.

Price- They counted at 24 hour basic. Toyota Avanza RM90/24 hours. But they usually let you return late (see what time la) =P

Accomodation
I rented Century Suria Apartment in Kuah Town with the same company as transport - Samavest Tour & Travel Sdn Bhd. They do offer many activity ticket at Langkawi too. Although there are many negative comment about this apartment can be found at agoda.com, but i think it is worth for the price i paid. Although it is a little bit run down but you cannot take it to compare with hotel because it is cheaper than hotel and convenient to stay.

Price- RM250/night. Can stay up to many people if you want to save cost, but we only have 6 of us so it cost us RM41/ pax per night. It consider cheap and we have a great stay!

Wonderland Seafood Store - Kuah Town
After every thing is settle down, is time to have our first dinner at Langkawi Island. Before this, I have surveyed from the internet of recommend food in Langkawi Island. We found that Wonderland Seafood Store is around our apartment. It is along the road side behind Bella Vista Hotel.

Comment- Dont go if you have better choice, nothing special here and not really delicious, you can find the same taste or even better anywhere in Kuala Lumpur. I became the white mouse for you all~hahaha!

Jing Yuan Fa Sdn Bhd - Kuah Town
Things that you must do in Langkawi is purchase alcohol as there is our duty free heaven! I found out that this shop sell the cheapest wine compare to others duty free shop outside. The promoter actually give RM5 discount according to the price tag for every wine. Furthermore, their cigarette also cheaper compare to others. It located just opposite the Wonderland Seafood Store.

Teow Soon Huat Duty Free - Kuah Town
We went to Teow Soon Huat duty free shop to buy beer before we went back to apartment because it just located outside our apartment. We pass by everyday at Langkawi so not to worry no time to shop in duty free shop.

There are different price tag for different duty free shop, sometime there are promotion of different items too. So, it is better you compare all the price at different duty free shop before you buy. But this is the one i found out has the cheapest price tag for chocolate in Langkawi Island.

Happy Hour at our Apartment! Luckily din't get complain by next door. Hehe!
